Queer rural aims to show how rural life is meaningful for queer people, and how it could be better.

It’s a three-year PhD project at the University of Northumbria at Newcastle, in the Psychology and Communications Technology Lab.

The project uses interview, survey, psychometric measures, creative arts and Participant Action Research to involves queer people in applied research.
