Richard, the researcher, grew up in a village in the North-West before moving to small cities in Southern England to study Literature and Anthropology, which got him interested in people’s cultures, experiences and stories. He then worked in health care for nine years before deciding to start his PhD in Psychology, focusing on queer rural experience. He lives in Sheffield.
